Ah, another nice video.
Some points were true, without a doubt. Specially when he says that the planet is fine and that people that are the problem.
Now, about saving only our asses instead of the planet, yes, it could be seem that way. Our asses and our descendants (most likely direct ones like child and grandchild and so forth) but I don't think it would be so effective if started making such individualist campaign. Let's face it, nobody would support me if I started a campaign entitles "Do your job, save ME and MY family" even though many would like that such act would work but we all know it won't so, someone thought that maybe, only maybe, other people had the same desire of being saved and found a way to converge all these people into one common objective that if accomplished would drive to the accomplishment of their individual desires too.
And what's that? Saving this little planet of ours.
Through this optic, it is a pretty clever act because they're able to get what they individually want and still don't look individualist.
How cool is that?
Plastic? Come on! Why would earth want plastic? Why not a metamaterial capable of guiding light around an object instead of sending it back or even one that, instead, bounce light back at the same angle from which it came? Much cooler and I bet nature didn't do that by herself yet! :)

lol, I'm with you about this, the planet is fine. Global warming my behind, it is summer in my neck of the woods and we are having 50's temperatures. Now with that statement they will say "another ice age", they can't make up their mind, their lies are piling up on top of each other and a lot of people believe them.

You know what? Each time I can reject the use of plastic bag after buying stuffs from shops,I'll make a note. Up to date since june,I've rejected 57 of them and am proud of it.

oh a really eye opener! so let's just use those aerosols, burn plastics, burn wateva, use your air-con at will, go for a 5.0L V10 engines and screw hybrid cars since we're all gonna die one day anyways lol

I too have watched those two vids, and as soon as I saw your post titled "Saving the planet is BULLSHIT" I was actually planning on quoting George in the comments. XD. Ever since then, I realised how wanky the whole wannabe noble idea of saving the planet is. Some people need to get this bit of info through their thick 100% biodegradable skulls: Earth is a rock with lifeforms on the surface. We are causing the surface to be uninhabitable by humans. Self-interest.
And btw...
