Heck, I don't even know how many people read my blog anymore. Probably just a 1 or 2 bored souls left looking at the plummeting number of comments I get. Not like I care anymore cus I have school to fuss over.

I'm blogging cus I had a revelation just now...

Before university, teachers at least had the guts and time to pile homework in front of your face.

But in university, work likes to creep up on you behind your back and pin you, face down, to the ground when you least expect it.

This Insane World

I went to class today and learnt that...

In about 40 years, a $1000 computer will exceed the computational capabilities of the entire human species.



wow, is that comforting to know or what?

The human species is a little funny; they like to complicate things to make life easier.

I'll bet we'll soon be walking around with a mini computer attached to our brains cus they'll be pretty much useless when we need to generate 4 exabytes of new information every year.

And using GUI or even command line to interface with the computer is simply...too slow.

Who knows how many adware and spyware could have quietly planted themselves onto our computers during that split second it takes to click the "Publish Post" button?

Let me just wait until someone invents a device to insert data into my head before I get my degree.

I Can't Believe I Said Being A Student Is Easy

It's the 2nd week of university and I already feel like cracking my head open on the nearest window ledge.

1 week of school and all the reasons why being a student sucks came right back to me.

Imagine being sleep deprived, staring at a Math tutorial question that looks ABSOLUTELY GIBBERISH to you, and makes you feel somewhat similar to that single cell organism you learnt about in another Biology module (Archaea, fyi).

On top of that I'm working for a professor, doing what he calls "technical writing". You wouldn't want to hear about it.

To add to my joy, my wisdom tooth is now dedicating its whole life to giving me a healthy dosage of daily throbbing pains.

Weeeeeeee~

I swear Maths is the bane of my life.

Fish you, you and all of you who are naturally good in Maths.

Something Sweet

About a week ago, I was following DC into the lab where he worked.

I was right behind DC and halfway through the door when one of his colleagues walking past gave the door a push not knowing that I was behind it.

The door bumped against my arm and the next thing I knew, DC was looking pissed and shaking his fist at the poor guy.

It didn't make sense to me, what had happened between them during the one second I was analyzing the collision area on my arm?

It dawned me later as he was pulling me to his desk with 2 CPUs and 3 monitors.

It's funny how his small spontaneous reaction can be so incredibly sweet.

It's also funny how every time I would whine a little bit extra just to get him to pay a little more attention, but it turns out he pays much more attention than I realize.

(This is, however, not an excuse to be unromantic.)

In any case, my day was made. <3

Internet Explorer Scores 1 Over Firefox! (finally)

Yepps I'm still alive just in case you were wondering.

I've been busy being bombarded, blasted and having the wind knocked out of me again and again by barrels and barrels of THINGS YOU HAVE TO DO IN UNIVERSITY TO SUCCEED.

It makes my Need-To-Achieve gene go into overdrive and produce a mad amount of DO-THIS-DO-THAT-DO-EVERYTHING!!!-dorphins.

Then my Philosophical mind (it likes to fancy itself as one) regains reign and....Errr sorry, what IS the meaning of life again?

CRAP.

So,

in a bid to not write anything particularly meaningful lest I am reminded of my cognitive dissonance...

Most would have noticed that Blogger is acting up and the "New Post" page doesn't display correctly.
