Sayonara Teenage Life...

2 more days left of my teenage life...

This is extremely saddening.

It would probably be slightly more redeeming if all the pimples on my face will magically disappear with the death of my teenage self, but somehow I doubt so.

The last few weeks of my glorious days as a teen was spent cramming for midterm tests, work, re-watching very old, nostalgic shows (My Date with a Vampire!!!), and re-learning how to swim.

Yes, the last time I even went near a swimming pool was in Primary 3. It's been a week and all I have achieved is flailing and drowning from one end of the small pool to the other - all done while holding my breath. I hope that is not too pathetic considering the fact that I almost drowned when I was like 6 years old and DC keeps running off to big pool. -.-

Anyway, let me tell you my drowning story. When I was young, my family and I went to this place somewhat like Wild Wild Wet in Singapore, except it is in Malaysia. We were playing playing, going down water slides and all was good until I decided that it was too crowded there and I ran off by myself to a quieter part. I spotted this rather small, round pool that no one was in. I surveyed the pool, trying to gauge it's depth. Then I went off, and came back with a stick. I stuck the stick into the edge of the pool, concluded that I was taller than the pool was deep, and jumped in without a second thought.

I sank, and sank. The pool was a lot taller than me. >_< It was only then I realized the pool was actually a very deep bowl shape. The edges were much shallower than the center, but the incline was too steep for me to crawl out. I kicked the bottom of the pool and propelled myself upwards and clung onto the edge of the pool. But the edge was slippery and my mouth was barely out of the water before I sunk back down to the bottom of the pool again. This cycle repeated for some time and I managed to get a few screams out but the place was noisy and I don't think anyone could hear me gargling (screaming) with mouthfuls of water.

I realized that I was getting tired and my fingers were raw from all the intense gripping/clutching/clinging. This was when I knew I was probably going to die like this, using my last ounce of strength to kick the bottom of the pool but never ever managing to reach the surface again...

Erm, this was when my father came running to save me. Yepps, and I lived happily ever after. The End.

Right, back to my glorious days as a teen. Hm, I also applied for Special Sem (in order to double major but still graduate in 4 years) and planning to continue my Japanese at Bunka (anyone wana learn with me???) during hols and perhaps take JLPT this year. Oh yes, I also unabashedly sold myself in under 1000 characters just yesterday while applying for double major in Philo.

Finally, a gift to fellow muggers...(finals are in a few weeks!)

Hahahahha! This totally made my day when I saw it.

Mug = get a high CAP.

For non-NUS ppl, CAP = Cumulative Average Point aka Grades.

Happy Mugging!!!
